The computer coding/software development curriculum is a two-year program of study designed to train students to be software developers.
Students will work with real world technologies to learn the fundamentals of coding, app development, web applications, and the life leadership skills needed to be successful in their careers and competitive in the job market.
The Coding Technology curriculum is aligned to a skillset that enables students to learn and enhance skills as they relate to: HTML and CSS, Database Fundamentals, Python, and JavaScript.
This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with a MGCCC advisor.
All students completing a career or technical program must complete a MGCCC Board- approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Technology Certificate (Optional)
Students in this program have the option to obtain the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Technology Certificate (16 hours) by successfully completing the following courses.
