Aryn Eady

Currently a sophomore majoring in Health Sciences, Aryn plans to become an Orthopedic Surgeon for the National Football League. After graduating from Gulf Coast in May, her journey will continue at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she has a Track and Field scholarship, a testament to her skills as an accomplished athlete specializing in Discus and Shot-Put for the D’Iberville High School track and field team.

In October 2023, Aryn’s dedication to both sports and community was recognized when she was honored with the Youth of the Year award from the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast. Recently, she was named Student Athlete of the Week on WXXV, further highlighting her achievements.

Beyond the field, she excels academically, and is a member of the Omicron Alpha Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She also contributes as a connection team member for the Concurrent Enrollment Leadership Organization (CELO), showcasing her commitment to leadership and academic excellence.

While actively engaged in high school activities, Aryn seamlessly manages a full course load on the Harrison County Campus. Reflecting on her experience, she shares, “I have truly enjoyed my time at MGCCC over the past year and a half. There’s always something going on, whether it’s free food, games in the cyber cafe, or activities in the gym. Gulf Coast has been a great place to start my higher education.”

Aryn attributes her success and motivation to her parents, who serve as her heroes and mentors. Living at home with her parents and younger brother, she draws inspiration from her mom, an I.T. Project Federal Lead for the United States Department of Agriculture with a master’s degree in business administration, and her dad, who works as an Economic Specialist for the United States Small Business Administration, holding a bachelor’s degrees in journalism and has a law degree. Their commitment to education and well-rounded development has instilled a strong foundation for her to pursue her goals.

“No matter what I am involved in, my parents are there for me. Even when I say I don’t need them to show up, they are always there,” she said, underscoring the invaluable support system that propels her forward in both her academic and athletic pursuits.
