Keith Davis

As the Deputy Commissioner of Operations at the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Keith Davis assumes leadership responsibilities for multiple critical divisions, including the Driver Service Bureau, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security, Crime Stoppers, and the Internal Security Division. With a distinguished career spanning over 26 years in state government, Keith has demonstrated his expertise as a veteran law enforcement officer.

Before his current role, he served as the Chief of Staff for the Secretary of State’s Office, showcasing his ability to navigate complex administrative landscapes. Prior to that, he held key positions such as Chief of Enforcement at the Department of Marine Resources and Chief of Police for the City of Moss Point. His diverse professional journey includes contributions to the Gulfport Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Campus Police, and the D’Iberville Police Department.

Keith earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from The University of Southern Mississippi and holds an associate degree from MGCCC. He attended both the Harrison County Campus and the Perkinston Campus from 1996-1998, majoring in criminal justice. Additionally, he is a graduate of Class 243 of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Training Academy.

Keith’s guiding philosophy centers around the belief that individuals can attain their aspirations through unwavering commitment to self. He emphasizes, “You can achieve ALL your dreams in life, but you have to put yourself first,” underscoring the importance of personal dedication. Keith lives by the principle of prioritizing personal success, which in turn, enables him to extend a helping hand to others.
