Data analysts utilize programming and analytical tools to generate insights that aid management in decision-making, policy formulation, and operational tasks. They may also apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to build intelligent systems and extract actionable information from datasets. Technicians in this field collect and process data, create data visualizations, develop AI-driven applications or services, and optimize processes for program evaluation and implementation.
This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with an MGCCC advisor.
All students completing a career or technical program must complete an MGCCC Board-approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
