Je'Mya Evans

During her junior and senior years at Harrison Central High School, Je’Mya played a pivotal role in leading her team to success. Averaging an impressive 10 points and 8 rebounds as a junior, she earned a well-deserved spot on the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team. In her senior year, she elevated her game even further, contributing 10.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, guiding the team to the prestigious Class 6A Final Four, and securing another spot on the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team.

Transitioning to the college level, Je’Mya continued to shine as a forward, becoming a defensive stalwart in both her freshman and sophomore years. In her 24 starts, she showcased her skills, averaging an impressive 12.3 points and 6 rebounds per game, while also making significant contributions with 19 assists and 18 steals.

As Gulf Coast dominated conference play this year, Je’Mya Evans emerged as a true leader on the team. Currently entering the NJCAA Region 23 finals, her abilities on the court have played a crucial role in the team’s success. Standing at an imposing six feet, Je’Mya is a powerhouse, utilizing her skills to not only secure victories but also mentor and inspire younger players to give their best on the court.
