MGCCC Fine Arts present “Closure,” a fundraising event
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Perkinston Campus is holding a School of Performing and Visual Arts fundraiser entitled “Closure” on April 21 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Biloxi and on April 22 at the Perkinston Campus.
On April 21 at 6:30 p.m., Mississippi Sound, the Perkinston World Voices Chamber Choir, Perkinston Campus Concert Choir, along with Blessed Seelos, Our Lady of Fatima, and St. Michael parishes adult and children’s choirs will perform together, allowing students and community partners to demonstrate their talents to the community.
On April 22 at 6 p.m., the Perkette Dance Team, Mississippi Sound and the Perkinston Concert Choir will partner with visual arts students and instructors for the program at Malone Hall Auditorium. The showcase offers students the opportunity to express themselves and explore their artistry through choreographic and performance works. The event will conclude with an art show and reception in the Community Arts Center.
All school and CDC Covid-19 guidelines will be followed, and social distancing will be enforced throughout the entirety of the events. Masks will be required by audience members at all times.
Prices for special VIP reserved seating is a donation of $10 for the community and $5 for students. Tickets will also be on sale at the door.
