The 10-week Cosmetology Nail Technology program prepares individuals with the theory and skills to care for nails with an emphasis on hygiene, sanitation, customer relations, ethics, and salon management that are required to become a licensed nail technician. Students will receive instruction designed to comply with the standards of the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and practice techniques in a supervised salon setting meeting the requisite 350 clock hours.
The Cosmetology-Nail Technology option program is offered in an afternoon/evening format. Selection for admission into the cosmetology program is based on the date of cosmetology application and slot availability. Applicants must provide two official high school or high school equivalency transcripts.
