Veronika Landry

Veronika Landry, a driven and accomplished student at MGCCC’s Harrison County Campus, has recently achieved a remarkable honor. Selected as a 2024 New Century Transfer Scholar, Landry will receive a prestigious $2,250 scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements and exemplary leadership qualities.

The New Century Transfer Scholar program, a collaboration between The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, Phi Theta Kappa, and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), celebrates the academic excellence and leadership abilities of students across the nation. With over 2,200 nominees from more than 1,300 college campuses nationwide, Landry stands out as a shining example of dedication and talent.

Beyond excelling in her studies, Landry is deeply involved in campus life, holding three officer positions at the Harrison County Campus. As the Vice President of Leadership of Phi Theta Kappa, the Treasurer of the STEAM Club, and the President of the Queer Alliance Club, which she played an instrumental role in establishing, Landry demonstrates her commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus community.

Landry of Biloxi embodies the spirit of innovation and creativity in her chosen field of study: game design. Her passion for leveraging technology and artistic expression to create immersive experiences speaks volumes about her dedication to pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking.
