Requests to Conduct Research at MGCCC

Step 1 – Request Approval from the MACJC CIRE SubcommitteeResearchers who wish to conduct research at MGCCC must submit a Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College Research Application to the Council of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (CIRE) subcommittee and receive a letter of approval. 

Step 2 – Request Approval from MGCCC: After obtaining approval from the MACJC Council of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (CIRE) subcommittee, please e-mail the research application and following documentation to the attention of Adam.Swanson@mgccc.edu.

  1. Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College Research Application
  2. Council of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (CIRE) Subcommittee Approval Letter 
  3. IRB application from host institution
  4. IRB approval letter from host institution
  5. A copy of all study materials and/or all supporting documentation

The MGCCC Executive Council will review research request in the order in which they are received and a representative will communicate a decision to the researcher.

Step 3 – Conduct the Research: If the study is approved at the college, details will be communicated to the researcher regarding how to move forward with data collection.

Step 4 – Share the Findings Report: At the conclusion of the study, the researcher will be asked to supply the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness with a copy of the findings.
