Course Information

MGCCC in partnership with MAIN utilizes Intel’s AI for Workforce curriculum and offers FREE AI courses on Canvas. Each course is comprehensive, covering 64 hours of content over 16 weeks (16 modules). Progression through the course requires completing the prior module (e.g., Week 1 must be completed before Week 2). The Canvas courses do not have an active instructor, allowing for flexible, self-paced learning. Participants engage with content through slides and supplemental videos and complete assessments through discussions, quizzes, and assignments. These courses are currently open and will run throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, ending on June 30, 2025.

  6. K-12 educators: Teachers can earn FREE CEUs, and administrators can now earn FREE SEMI or OSL credits with Intro to AI.
  7. Comprehensive content—each course is divided into 16 parts, with 4 hours of content per part.
  8. Ready-to-use lesson plans—each module provides lesson plans and objectives, helping educators integrate AI into their curriculum seamlessly.

Registration Instructions

Step 1 – Create your profile and register

  1. First, go to MGCCC Workforce Solutions – https://mgccc.augusoft.net/
  2. Next, click Create a New Account.
  3. Then, select Profile type: Student Profile (single user). Click Submit.
  4. Complete information for each of the steps.
    1. Enter all required information to Create New Student Profile
    2. Additionally, you must add the Discount Code (Class Unlock Key)
      1. Workforce Members: ai25
      2. K-12 Educators (Teachers and Administrators): k12ai25

Step 2 – View classes and register.

  1. First, log in at https://mgccc.augusoft.net/
  2. Next, select “Browse All Courses”
  3. Then, select AI for Workforce from the menu
  4. Find the course(s) you want to enroll in (e.g., Intro to AI, AI for Manufacturing, etc.)
  5. Add to Cart
  6. View Cart and Checkout
  7. After registering, wait for a confirmation email.

Note: Make sure you have entered the correct Discount Code (Class Unlock Key) when creating your profile.

Troubleshooting

If you do not see any courses, make sure you added the Discount Code (Class Unlock Key) to your profile.

  1. First, log in to MGCCC Workforce Solutions: https://mgccc.augusoft.net
  2. Next, click “My Profile” on the left side of the screen.
  3. Under “Student Profile Review,” click “Edit Profile” at the top. If you don’t see it, make sure you are under the “My Profile” tab at the top.
  4. Then, click the “Step-3” tab.
  5. Scroll down to “Class unlock keys.” Ensure the appropriate key is there. If not, input the key and click Submit.
  6. Finally, go back to “All Classes,” find “AI for Workforce,” and enroll in the available courses by clicking “Add to Cart” and proceeding with Checkout.

Step 3 – Credentials to access the Canvas course will be provided shortly after enrollment.
If you do not see an email from MGCCC Continuing Education (lumens@mgccc.edu), check spam/junk folders.

Step 4 – Wait for system to sync your information before attempting to login to Canvas.
New Canvas student accounts are updated at the top of each hour. For example, if you sign up at 3:23 PM, you may not be able to login until 4:00 PM.

How do I Access the Course?

  1. You can access your course by using your MGCCC credentials.
  2. Go to https://mgccc.edu and select MyGulfCoast (log in using your MGCCC credentials and authenticate using the Microsoft app)
  3. From the MGCCC dashboard, select eLearning on the left navigation panel.
  4. Select Canvas to navigate to the Canvas dashboard.
  5. The course will be visible on the Canvas dashboard, locate your course and click on the class.
  6. Read the home page and click “Get Started!

Tips For Navigating Canvas

  • Make sure your dashboard is on the “Card View” and not “List View.”
  • If you do not see the course, you can go to the “Courses” button on the Global Navigation and select “All Courses”. Add the star to the course you want to appear on the Canvas dashboard.
  • Issues with your MGCCC credentials or authentication can be sent to the MGCCC HelpDesk at (855) 343-9165.

Registration Instructions for MGCCC Employees ONLY

Register through Web Services

  1. Log in to Web Services using your MGCCC email address and password.
  2. Select the Employee Development tab.
  3. Click on the Add / Drop Classes link.
  4. Select Fiscal Year 25 from the dropdown menu and click Submit.
  5. In the first text box, enter the CRN for the course you wish to register for.
  6. Click the Submit Changes button.

How do I earn CEU / SEMI / OSL credits?

  • CEUs: You can earn 0.4 CEUs for each completed week (content and assessments; Week 1, Week 2, etc.). All assessments must be completed and marked as “Complete” for the CEUs to be processed. If a submission doesn’t meet the requirements, it will still be marked complete, and feedback will be provided. You submit a request by following the form in the “How to Claim” page. A total of 6.4 CEUs can be earned if the entire course is completed. Completing the course is optional.
  • SEMIs: You can earn 5 SEMIs for every two weeks completed (content and assessments; Weeks 1 & 2, Weeks 3 & 4, etc.). All assessments must be marked as “Complete” for SEMIs to be processed. If a submission doesn’t meet the requirements, it will still be marked complete, and feedback will be provided. You submit a request by following the form in the “How to Claim” page. A total of 40 SEMIs can be earned if the entire course is completed. Completing the course is optional.
  • OSLs: You can earn 4 OSLs for every four weeks completed (content and assessments; Weeks 1-4, Weeks 5-8, etc.). All assessments must be marked as “Complete” for OSLs to be processed. If a submission doesn’t meet the requirements, it will still be marked complete, and feedback will be provided. You submit a request by following the form in the “How to Claim” page. A total of 4 OSLs can be earned if the entire course is completed. Completing the course is optional.
