The Simulation and Game Design Technology curriculum is a one-year program of study designed to train students to become simulation and game developers. Through a partnership with EON Reality, Inc., MGCCC students will learn to develop augmented and virtual reality content as they train in the state-of-the-art Interactive Digital Center (IDC). Students will utilize real world technologies to learn the fundamentals of augmented and virtual reality, simulation and game development, and the leadership and project management skills necessary to be competitive in today’s job market.
The Simulation and Game Design Technology program prepares students to enter employment in computer programming, game development, software engineering, mobile app development, and graphic design industries. Students will learn programming, graphics development, storylines, and business requirements for developing fully functional games and simulation software applications for PC, Apple, and mobile devices
This Simulation and Game Design Technology program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with a MGCCC advisor.
All students completing a career or technical program must complete a MGCCC Board-approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
