Our students are trained in both performance (Acting I, Movement for the Actor, Voice Diction and Phonetics) and technical theatre (Stagecraft, Theatrical Makeup, and Drama Production).

Each year, we produce between 3 – 4 Mainstage Productions on two different stages – Our Fine Arts Auditorium Stage and our Arena Theatre Stage.  In addition to our Mainstage productions, we work on Improvisation most Friday afternoons at 4pm in the Arena Theatre and Master Acting Workshops for our students.

Most of our students attend the Southeastern Theatre Conference  where they attend professional workshops on Acting, Directing, Lighting, Wigs, Film, and Technology in Theatre.  In addition to these workshops, they also are inspired by Keynote addresses by those in the profession.

The Harrison County Players continue to work and develop relationships throughout the community as well as professionally.

Each year we also offer scholarships to incoming students who demonstrate both talent and prior academic achievement.  The Scholarship interview/auditions are held on Saturdays on production weekends.  If you are interested in auditioning, please contact Mr. Ryan Pierini at (228) 897-3740 or ryan.pierini@mgccc.edu.
