This course is designed to introduce the framework of the nursing process to non-nurse health care providers desiring to transition into the role of the registered nurse. Fundamental nursing concepts related to role transition and the introduction of nursing practices will be emphasized along with essential nursing core competencies including the knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide safe nursing practice with care, competence, and compassion (5 week summer course).
