Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship

Students receive up to $40,000 per year to attend an accredited four-year undergraduate school. The JKC Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support for two to three years, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow scholars. Mississippi INBRE Biomedical Research

Interns receive $4,500 for living and travel expenses incurred during the program. The Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) is a network of colleges and universities, designed to build a biomedical research infrastructure in Mississippi by engaging talented researchers and students in biomedical research projects that will increase the state’s research competitiveness as well as impact the health of citizens of Mississippi. Mississippi INBRE has two summer programs: Research Scholars and Service Scholars. These programs are designed to give students hands-on experience in the field of biomedical research and public health. Research Scholars given the opportunity to experience hands-on biomedical research in the most competitive laboratories in the state, while Service Scholars participate in community outreach activities which directly tie into biomedical research projects. Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholars

Scholars receive $30,000 per year for medical school for $120,000 total. Created in 2007, MRPSP identifies college sophomores and juniors who demonstrate the necessary commitment and academic achievement to become competent, well-trained rural primary care physicians in our state. The program offers undergraduate academic enrichment and a clinical experience in a rural setting. Upon completion of all medical school admissions requirements, the student can be admitted to the University of Mississippi School of Medicine or William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. New Century Workforce Pathway Scholar

The scholarship provides $1,250 to the student receiving the highest All-USA Academic Team application score in each state. Students nominated for the Workforce Pathway should be planning to enter the workforce after completing a certificate or associate degree. Meet Our New Century Workforce Pathway Scholars

Pearson Scholarship for Higher Education

Scholars receive $5,000 each. They must be enrolled in an associate degree program, have completed 12-36 semester hours and be members of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Meet Our Pearson Scholars
