Under the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act, which amends the Jacob Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act, the Jeanne Clery Act, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is providing this statement. The following information is made available to the college community to afford the community the opportunity to be aware of the condition of their environment concerning known sex offenders. The act also requires registered sex offenders to provide to appropriate state officials notice of each institution of higher education in that state at which the offender is employed, carries on a vocation, or is a student.
