  • LPN to RN (Hybrid)

    Weekday OR Evening / Weekend Classes

    The LPN-to-RN Hybrid option is designed to assist qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with the transition to RN practice via either a weekday hybrid or an evening/weekend hybrid (face to face and distance) learning environment. After successfully completing the summer transition course, NUR 1116, the LPN student accepted into the day or evening/weekend hybrid option is awarded fourteen (14) semester hours of credit for previous nursing education. Thereafter, the student will by-pass the first year courses required of ADN graduates and enter semester 3 (corresponding day or evening/weekend) of the ADN program. Beginning with NUR 1116, and thru the terminal ADN courses, NUR 2434 and NUR 2422, course and clinical works (evening/weekend option only) will include the EMS/Paramedic-to-RN students, and the Respiratory Therapist-to-RN students.

  • LPN to RN (Non-Hybrid)

    Weekday Classes Only

    The LPN-to-RN Non-Hybrid option is designed to assist qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with the transition to RN practice via a classroom (face to face) learning environment. After successfully completing the summer transition course, NUR 1116, the LPN student accepted into the Non-hybrid option is awarded fourteen (14) semester hours of credit for previous nursing education. Thereafter, the student will by-pass the first year courses required of ADN graduates and enter semester 3 (Weekday) of the ADN program. Beginning with NUR 2322, and thru the terminal ADN courses, NUR 2434 and NUR 2422, course and clinical works will include the ADN semester 3 Generic/Prelicensure students.

  • LPN-to-RN (Non-Hybrid) Coursework

    The LPN to RN Transitional – Non-Hybrid Option is designed to assist qualified LPNs with the transition to RN practice via a classroom (face to face) learning environment. LPNs accepted into the non-hybrid option are awarded fourteen (14) semester hours of credit for previous nursing education. Graduates will be eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses® given by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and will earn the title Registered Nurse (RN) credentialed upon successful completion of the exam.

  • Language Arts

    Offering courses in technical writing, composition, literature, creative writing, foreign languages, as well as technical courses in Interpreter training, the School of Language Arts endeavors to endow students with strong written and oral communication skills, critical thinking skills, and an understanding of world cultures that will ensure success in college and, ultimately, in the students’ careers and lives. The School of Language Arts is committed to cultivating academic integrity, historic-cultural awareness, and logically sound thought through the study of language. Its curricula provide students with opportunities to compose texts in multiple modes, study and analyze texts from the past and the present from several perspectives, and acquire new languages in technologically rich learning environments.

  • Leadership Scholarship

    The MGCCC Leadership Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship open to students who served as Student Body President or Senior Class President during their senior year of high school or achieved Gold Award as a Girl Scout or Eagle rank as a Boy Scout.

  • Live Entertainment Technology

    The Live Entertainment Technology program prepares individuals for entry-level employment in the entertainment industry, particularly in the fields of concert sound and lighting.
