CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Training
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Providers Blended non-credit Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and treat choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This class meets the requirement of most healthcare facilities and other employers that require cardiopulmonary resuscitation as a condition of employment in the healthcare field. Student must be 16 years of age to take this course, be physically able to perform CPR, have access to a computer, and be able to read and write for successful completion of this course.

CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor
This non-credit course trains individuals to teach a variety of Basic Life Support classes and all AHA Heartsaver programs including: adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, AED use, first aid, pediatric CPR/first aid, and blood-borne pathogens. The American Heart Association’s Online BLS Instructor Essentials is an engaging, multi-media tool designed to provide a foundation for teaching and facilitating regardless of an instructor or instructor candidate’s area of specialization. Students must have a current AHA BLS provider card prior to taking this course and must complete the online BLS Instructor Essential course.

Certified Nursing Assistant
This Mississippi State-approved hybrid non-credit healthcare program prepares applicants to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Mississippi. Upon successful completion of the program and the exam, the graduate is eligible for employment opportunities with various healthcare agencies, i.e. nursing homes, home health providers and community clinics.

Cosmetology
The one-year program in cosmetology prepares students to become licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology for work in hair, skin, nails, and the salon business.
